The Baltic Exchange's key index for dry bulk freight, which monitors rates for vessels transporting unpackaged commodities, registered an increase of approximately 0.3% on Tuesday, reaching 3,584 points.

This uptick follows a 1.4% reduction observed in the previous session. Concurrently, the capesize index, typically used for carrying substantial 150,000-tonne cargoes such as iron ore and coal, saw a rebound of 0.4%, climbing to 6,313 points.

The supramax index, covering a different segment of the dry bulk market, also demonstrated an upward movement.

Hellenic Shipping News Worldwide reported these movements in the dry bulk market indices.
