The Baltic Exchange's primary dry bulk freight indicator, which monitors rates for vessels transporting bulk commodities, experienced a second consecutive daily rise on Wednesday. The index saw an approximate 1% increase, reaching 3,620 points.

This upward movement was attributed to positive performance across all vessel segments. Specifically, the capesize index, which generally covers ships carrying 150,000-tonne cargoes such as iron ore and coal, also recorded its second day of gains.

The reported details are based on information from Hellenic Shipping News Worldwide.
