Crude futures advanced on Thursday, supported by escalating security risks across the Middle East following reported attacks on Saudi targets.

Brent crude was recorded changing hands at $111.10 per barrel, whilst West Texas Intermediate reached $98.98 per barrel, according to reporting by OilPrice.com. Both markers appreciated by roughly 2% compared to Wednesday's levels.

Upward market momentum was further underpinned by Washington instructing non-emergency federal personnel stationed in Saudi Arabia to depart the country, intensifying market apprehension over supply stability in the primary oil-producing jurisdiction.
