Shipping operations in the Middle East Gulf continue to face disruptions, highlighted by several recent incidents, according to a report from Hellenic Shipping News Worldwide. Despite a recovery in cargo flows, particularly for Gulf crude movements, the region's shipping environment remains challenging.

The report details multiple attacks on tankers transiting the Strait of Hormuz this week, involving unidentified projectiles. These events were followed by a separate incident on 1st October, where a tanker caught fire. All crew members from the latter incident were reported to be safe.

These occurrences serve as a stark reminder that an increase in cargo throughput does not necessarily equate to a return to standard, predictable shipping circumstances within the region.

In a separate development, the market in Chattogram is experiencing elevated prices, largely attributed to scarcity, positioning it as a leading port in terms of current market dynamics.
