Rosneft has started exporting crude oil from its Vostok Oil project, located in Eastern Siberia. This development proceeds amidst ongoing sanctions against Russia's energy industry and the withdrawal of Western companies from the region.
The Vostok Oil project represents Russia's most significant new oil undertaking. It incorporates a collection of oilfields within the Krasnoyarsk Krai, some of which are already operational, while others are recent discoveries.
At its full operational capacity, the project is forecast to yield an annual output ranging from 50 million to 100 million tonnes of crude oil.
According to an OilPrice.com report, drilling activities at the site have seen a total of 2,000 wells completed, as stated by Rosneft's chief executive.
